Prayer Conditions our Character

Healing come through prayers for broken hearts and for physical needs, in many ways.

Today let us touch heaven with our prayers.  There will always be a need to pray for our family and friends, and for those who ask for our prayers.

God is a spirit. Those who connect with him receive spiritual characteristic traits he possess; loving and caring.

Prayer produces happiness, kindness, peacefulness, hopefulness, gentleness, trustworthy, and the things God requires from each of us.

God’s Desires for Us are Complete Happiness, Good health and Prosperity.

Biblical:
Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper, and be in health even as your soul prospers. (3 John 2)

Blessings from God

If evil people know how to give good gifts to their children, how much
more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
(Matthew 7:11)

A Delayed Answer to a Prayer Request

Delayed answers from God means the person making
the request must keep asking until the answer is granted.
Biblical teaching:

For everyone that ask receive, and he that seek find, and to
him that knock, it shall be opened.  (Matthew 7:8)
Note the words seek and knock: they indicate, the person
making the request should never give up.

Guarantee: God is able to back every promise he make.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man,
that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?
Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
 (Numbers 23:19)

We Communicate with God through Prayer

Continuous prayers to God strengthen our relationship with him.
God gives knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to those who
have a relationship with him.  Therefore, their minds are competent.
Their judgments are right.  And he provides them with protection.
Biblical:

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory:
No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11)

God Give Power to Create Wealth

Knowledge = Power
We receive from God our educational skills and talents.

Biblical

Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth
and has given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion,
and to rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.
(Ecclesiastes 5:19)

The Battle Is The Lord's

You will probably agree, we have very serious problems in our countries. Everyone I have spoken with is tired of war, and loss of lives, and money.

We have been encouraged by generations before us, to pray in times of troubles.
There is no doubt we are living in troubling times. Too many people’ blood has been shed on battlefields and in other places. Sicknesses and Diseases are increasing, despite all the money put in scientific research to find cures. Violence in homes and elsewhere is out of control.

Those in leadership positions are abusing their power. Many of them have no compassion for the people they were elected to serve. Selfishness and greed is a problem in our governments and in other places of financial interests. These are international problems.

Let’s stay connected. Bind with the chain of prayer.
We are not defined by belief or by faith nor religion.
We are family.
God bless you.

The Weapon called COURAGE

Courage comes from a spiritual force within us that makes us determined to continue our journey to reach a goal that we have set before us.
There are times when it becomes difficult to continue when situations occurs that causes us to suffer some great challenges that requires lots of sacrifices; but despite the difficulties we endure, we don’t take our eyes off our goals.

If we get knocked down, we get up! If we stagger, we find our balance. When others are critical of us, and say evil and mean spirited things about us, we shake it off; and keep running and never stop until we reach our goal.

All of the negative things we face, while trying to reach our goals are weapons used to prevent us from reaching them. We have a weapon that will blow every one used against us away. That weapon is called COURAGE. It comes from faith in ourselves, and the belief that nothing can prevent us from achieving our dreams.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Gabriel an angel St Luke 1: 37 K.J.V) When God performs acts that are out of the normal occurrence, we call them miracles. They are the impossibilities having been made possible through the work of supernatural power. However, God doesn’t view his power as miracles, because with him all things are possible.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54: 17 (K.J.V)

Things We Hate that God Hates

Many of those who are religious people are practicing this same behavior that  they condemn others for.

A Two Faces Attitude
An Arrogant Attitude
False Rumors
False Witnesses
Hands that Destroys Innocent Lives
Lying
Snobbish Behavior
Troublemakers

Evil imaginations causes harm to others.
Such things do not dwell in the mind of
a righteous person.

Lord Make Me Better

Lord Make Me Better
Father God,
Help me to do the things that please you;
That I will treat every person with respect, and not judge others. Help me to see my own weakness and correct the mistakes I make.
Increase my wisdom, to know what is right, that my thoughts and judgments are guided by righteousness.
If I am to love my neighbors as myself, as the bible says I must do; then every person is my neighbor, and I am required to accept every person, in the spirit of peace.
Lord, make me better; that I will treat all people with
kindness, in the spirit of love and peace. Amen

The Earth Reveals God's Power

God thunders marvelously with his voice;
great things does he, which we cannot comprehend.
For he says to the snow, be thou on the earth;
likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain
of his strength.
He seals up the hand of every man;
that all men may know his work.

Trust in God

Father God,
I realize I need your protection and your blessings upon me and my family members; therefore, I am asking you to protect us from danger, and from sickness. I am asking for your blessings in all of our efforts and work that we do, that we may be successful and prosperous with plenty, and that we will bless others abundantly; with the things they need.  Amen

The Family of God

God created us all with his love, to be equally treated.
No human being is superior over another.
We are the children of one creator.
We are different in some ways. Yet, we are equal.
We are more than friends. We are family.
We are the Family of God.

Angel of Protection

           Mount Up!
When my enemies attacked me
My angel came to my defense.
He said to me,
Don’t be afraid, I am with thee;
Your comfort, I will provide.
I am your guide.
I will never leave your side.
Mount up with wings as an eagle!
Soar with greatness.
Be about the Father’s business!
I will guide you safely on this journey
He has planned for you;
to do the work, you must do.
The Father sent me to take good
care of you.
Mount up quickly!
And be about the Father’s business.
I am mounted up!
Watch me soar with greatness.

World Problems

Every prophet God sent to warn each generation presented the same message of how God wants his people to behave.       When Jesus began his ministry he confirmed the message of the prophets:

1. You shall love the Lord your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul,
and with all your mind.
“This is the first and great commandment.  And the
 second is like unto it.”
2.  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

We are to obey God's commandments regarding the treatment of all people.
Every person is our neighbor. We must treat everyone the way we would
       want them to treat us.

The world problems exist due to the lack of those 2 commandments.
Because of failure to abide by those two commandments, people are
committing violent acts against others in great numbers.
Disrespect for the lives of others are seen in homes and in public places.

           The Mirror of the World
The reflection we see in the mirror of the world are these things:
health problems, starvation, violence and disasters caused by great storms.
And destruction caused by other means.

Street violence and wars have taken, the lives of innocent people, and
have harmed others in great numbers.

           This is factual
When God's laws are disrespected in homes, the world suffers from problems
        created.

Challenges come to test our ability to persevere

We are stronger than our challengers, God is on our side.
He gives power and strength to those who become weaken
on the battle fields while fighting against;
injustices, financial distress, health problems, poverty, social issues,
 violence, pain and sorrows.
Bible:
God gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might
he increase strength.  Isaiah 40:29

Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men
shall utterly fall:

*But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40: 30 & 31

*We believe in the Power of Prayer!

A Broken Justice System

If justice fails in the courtroom, it will not prevail in society. The laws of justice are as strong as the characters of men and women who create them. And of those who enforce them.
A broken Justice System does not protect the rights of all people.
Instead, it causes separation between people:
There are those who will defend the Justice System, and
those who will speak out against it.

When people feel their rights have been taken away, and others disagree with them;
this causes arguments, which leads to misunderstandings and creates anger.
Such an atmosphere is not good for society. Because of the weakness of the law; these problems it created, give opportunity to those who refuse to solve their differences peacefully. The results are violent acts, which causes harm to others, and loss of property. This action creates heavy burdens upon the shoulders of innocent people, in our society.

We encourage peace. And denounce violence.
Let’s work together for a stronger Justice System: Liberty and Justice for all People.

The Bible Was Written with Acts of Violence

Purpose: Education
The teachings we get from the bible are moral values and accountability.
Moral values, teaches us to treat others with respect.
Accountability is the result of committing wrongful acts against others.
We are taught that if we commit wrongful acts against others, to expect to receive wrongful acts committed against ourselves.
The final judgment is God’s decision for his punishment.

God Please Answer This Prayer

O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
Psalm 88:1, 2

In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
Psalm 89:16

Each request we make to God, is made with the spirit of urgency. It is a cry to him for immediate answers.

There will never be a time when each one of us at some point in our life, will not have a need to pray.

How to Prevent Overshadowing From Destroying a Relationship

Ellen J. Barrier

To prevent overshadowing from destroying a relationship, the high profile person must convince his or her partner that their role in the relationship is important. This is done by inspiring and motivating that individual frequently; doing things together, and working together on an equal level.  If the high profile partner takes the lead role in their relationship, it pushes the other person out of the relationship, leaving them with nothing to contribute.

Because that individual no longer has a role in the relationship, there is no interest or reason for him or her to feel important to their high profile partner. What that couple once had was lost, when the high profile partner took the lead role in their relationship. It is most important that both people have equality in a relationship.

Overshadowing:

Case in Point:

In today’s world, many females hold high positions that are competitive with males.  Some females earn more money than their spouses.  In some relationships one of the partners is in the spotlight while the other individual is seldom seen or heard of. You probably know of some couples like this. People in the spotlight overshadow their partners who are seldom seen with them, and in some cases aren't heard of.

In such cases where the female overshadows her partner, if she wants the relationship to be strong enough to survive, she has to prove to her partner his role of importance in their relationship. Whether we choose to believe or not, males have to feel they are leaders. If we take that position away from them, it weakens the relationship. God created the male to be the leader of the household. I never wanted to take the lead role. I only wanted to walk beside my spouse and be equal in everything we do.

Spiritual Warfare Defeat! Destroy!

Your enemy’s position against you is to hinder and stop you from succeeding.

His purpose is to destroy your plans or perhaps, you at any cost.
Your position and purpose is with God. Your prayers are to release God’s power against your enemy’s position and purpose.

"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him." Psalm 91:15

This is what you want God to do for you:

Defeat the purpose of your enemy and destroy his position.
(Use this weapon)

This is the most powerful weapon to use against your enemy:
Defeat! Destroy!
When God give the command to his angels (warriors), they are going against your enemy to defeat! and destroy!

We must know that Positive prayer moves God's power!
Never use the word “If” in your prayer.
Example: “If it be your will”
The word “If” is negative. It expresses doubt!
Please don’t ask God to forgive your enemies.
He won’t forgive them because you ask. They have to ask forgiveness themselves.

What would be the purpose of your praying for a victory against your enemy, if you want God to dismiss their behavior against you? Who do you want him to help?
Your enemy would still attack you if God dismissed their behavior against you.

Don’t tell God your enemy doesn’t understand what he or she is doing, when they are attacking you. If you believe this, why, are you praying?

The Call to Battle!

We Don’t Stand Down!

Regardless of how those who are in governmental positions, or those who are in other powerful positions who use their authority to intimidate, to control or hinder our progress and even attempt to defeat us, we are not afraid! We don’t "down" for no one! We accept God as our defense. And through the POWER of PRAYER we won’t be defeated!

We don’t accept a down position against us. Therefore, we won’t bow down, nor will we stand down, to those who are using their positions for evil means. We have a God-given duty to fight for equal rights and justice for all people. Therefore, We Don’t Stand Down!

Because of who we are, we pursue supernatural powers through God who is our defense. And with our prayers we won’t be defeated!

The Call to Battle!

It is time to begin a spiritual battle against the evil that has come upon our land. That battle should begin now!  Let’s arm ourselves with prayer and embrace each other. Let’s pursue the supernatural means of God and his Angels who are his army of warriors; to give us the victory over all of the evil acts that are loosed upon this land international.

The New Christians

If Christianity is defined by those who are wearing the fake title, it should be considered as a No-Holds-Barred-Life style-Religion.

These are the ones who are filled with hate and condemnation for others. They have written their own bible, and included within it violence. In their religion, they believe they are doing God’s work for him.

Within that vein of belief, they have chosen to remove from society those who they judge to be different from them. They have been found Guilty of Murdering Innocent People. Those who are righteous, condemn this behavior. God's work is not fake.

When Hate and Fear Connects the Results are Disastrous

Hate invites fear into the mind of individuals, causing them to lose all senses of reality. At which point, they have lost the feeling to like or to care for others. For some, life is useless to them, and dying in their mind, would release them from the demons living within them.

Recently, we have heard of, and some have watched the deaths of many others, whose lives have been taken at the hands of those who no longer cared about others. My heart is broken, and my soul weeps for those who have lost their love ones, and for the lives that have been taken because of this evil that lurks in the darkness, that has identified itself as “Fear”

Why do I refer to darkness? There are those who have said that the people who committed such act “never portrayed any unusual behavior and were very nice people.” Perhaps, that is what they saw. But it was a mental illusion. Those demons were there tormenting that person and giving instructions to destroy lives.

Killed because of skin coloring, faith, or for any reason, is cause for alarm

Very recently, a young Muslim male was killed because he drove his vehicle into the driveway of a white male. The man along with others only wanted to back out of the driveway, and be on the way to their destination.  Testimony revealed that the victim pleaded with the murderer to allow him to turn his vehicle around. But the white male refused to allow him to do so, and shot him instead. His reason for the murder of an innocent man was “fear”

A young black male, wearing a hoodie was killed by a neighborhood watchman of a different nationality.
The motive for the killing was "fear"

Point Made on a Personal Note:

I have lots of friends international. When many of my followers saw some Muslims names and photos, they dismissed me. Why?  It is hate. Unfortunately, we live in a world where some people will dismiss those who they no longer want to be friends with, because they don’t like their friends.

I posted a notice on my Social Media Networks where this occurred, stating I will stand by my friends. I will not turn my back on my friends under any circumstance. I consider those who dismissed me as their friend, because of my friends who they don’t like, were never my friends. They did us all a favor.

I don’t choose my friends by color, race, religion, or gender. Nor by any standard do I judge them. I’m honored having them for my friends. “Stand by Me” is the thing I will value for my friends. Because I want them to know, I will always be with them in spirit.

To My Friends:
In my garden, you are one single rose, but as my friend, you are my world.
__ Ellen J. Barrier

The Lord is My Shepherd

The writer of Psalm 23rd, was a shepherd. In his very young years, he cared for his family's sheep. Being that he knew how much work it took to keep the sheep safe from harm, properly fed and cared for, he was able to apply that same analogy to how God took care of him.

We too, can relate to what he means in the analogy he gave. In the part where he noted how God prepared a table before him in the presence of  his enemies, is amazingly impressive how God works  in  favor of those who trust him, as their shepherd.

God allows those who are waiting to see their prediction of failure come about upon those who trust him, to see instead, his people with great success and prosperity, in good health and happiness! During the times of hardship and trials of tribulations, our enemies look and anticipate us to fail, and give up. But, when God comes to our defense, and bring us through those though times undefeated, in the face of our enemies, we declare VICTORY! Because the battle has been won.
Our God is amazingly wonderful!

I Am Stronger Than That!

Ellen J. Barrier
Author/Spirituality Counselor

In my life there have been and continues to remain tough challenges to face, each challenge comes with its own powerful force. I have to depend upon another force within me, to know that, I am stronger than that particular force, or those forces that are fighting against me.

I’m often confronted with the same temptations as others are. I have to pray frequently and know that there is a weakness within my flesh that I can never allow to surface, and that I am stronger than those weaknesses, to yield to temptations, or to be defeated by any challenge that confronts me.

My business includes several other lines of interests in marketing as well as Spirituality. Therefore, I’m a follower and a leader.  These two positions place me in the role of accountability to a power that is beyond all human mentality. It requires me to be the person I have to be, and not the person that I need to be. There is no wiggle room in this role of leadership.

Needing to be the leader I’m required to be, would mean that I’m not performing at the level that is expected of me.  Having to be the leader that God wants me to be, means I’m doing my best to meet his requirements. Being a follower keeps me humble, and disallows room for unacceptable behavior in the treatment of others, and how I view other people, regardless of who they are.

In the face of every challenge I’m confronted with, I persevere, because I am stronger than that!

Character Matters with God

Ellen J. Barrier/
Author/Spirituality Counselor

Who I Have to Be, to Please God

It isn't who I need to be, but who I have to be, in order for me to meet the standard requirements, God has set for me to accomplish, that will please him.
Because Job, whose affliction I wrote about a few days ago, met the standard requirements God had set for his life, God was pleased with his character, and restored all of his losses and health with great blessings.

Scriptures:
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
King James Version Bible (Proverbs 3:7)

Character Matters with God

The positive features we see in individuals that makes them very special people are honesty, trustworthy, kindness, unselfishness, helping others, faithful in a relationship, respectful;  are the ideal qualities we each like to see in the other person’s character, but, what about our character?

I’m reminded of Job, who was condemned by those who came to visit him during his sickness, and accused him of being and unrighteous person. Therefore, they took it upon themselves to judge his character, and pass a death sentence upon him.  However, Job stood up to them, and labeled them as being "hypocrites".

Job allows his character to defend him

Speaking to his accusers, Job stated, “Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears. Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified. Who is he that shall plead with me? For now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.”

God himself said Job’s character was one that he judged to be perfect. Job didn't think he was perfect, but he knew he always did the right thing by helping others and showing kindness, honesty, and respect. Therefore, he was able to say, “I know that I shall be justified.” He knew God wouldn't find him guilty of being unrighteous. He let those who he called ‘hypocrites’ know, “He also shall be my salvation: for a hypocrite shall not come before him.” It was because of Job’s character, that God saved his life, and condemned those who falsely judged him.

Job never gave up on God, despite his wife and others who suggested that he should. There are those who will say negative statements about praying and believing in Supernatural intervention. Those who believe in the power of God, as Job did, can also allow their character to defend them against whatever situation they encounter. Therefore, they succeed beyond expectation.
