When The Chain of Command Is Broken

Ellen J. Barrier

God’s Instructions to Follow The Chain of Command:
Teaching our children to “Do the right thing.”

Many parents have failed to do the above. If each generation had continued to teach their children to treat others the way they, themselves, would like to be treated (that is with respect), we wouldn't be confronted with the violence we see in the “Mirror of Society.”  The chain of  command has been broken. It was broken when parents neglected their parental duties.

Reference:

“But I Know him that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord to do justice and judgment.”
Genesis 18:19

God commands that every parent be a good  role model to their children. That means the parents are to teach their children by example:

Work, support them financially, take good care of them, educate them,  give them the moral support they need, being there for them, and teaching them, to understand what their priorities should be.

What happens  to Earth When the Chain of Command is broken?

When our children deliberately disobey us, we let them know that what they did was unacceptable. And they are grounded. God does the same thing for us when we disobey him.
He takes things away:

Draughts and storms takes away the vegetables and fruits and kills the livestocks, that supply our food. That  results in high prices at the supermarkets, due to lots of crops and livestocks got wiped out. It cause financial losses to those who grow them. Therefore, they have to recover their losses by charging more, so they can continue to grow their crops and livestocks.

Storms wipe out lots of structural property and destroy lives. The damages are tremendously costly. The insurance companies have to raise the premiums, to recover the loses of their insureds money they used to pay claims.

Like any child, when they are grounded, they often times are disappointed with the parents. And sometimes feels that the punishment is too harsh. But they understand that their parents loves them, and always wants  the best for them.

The punishment is to correct the child, so that they learn responsibility. That is the purpose for which God wants us to achieve, by accepting the responsible that he has given us to follow, The Chain of Command.

Supernatural Strength

Quote:
Dwell not upon thy weariness, thy strength shall be according to the measure of thy desire.
Arab Proverb

Scriptures:
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:30, 31

My Thoughts:
In times of stressful situations that become difficult and impossible for us to deal with and overcome, we seek God for his intervention to give us the power to withstand. When we are confronted by our enemies whose purpose is to destroy us, we face the battle unafraid.  If we should become weak from the battle, God gives us power to continue to fight.  And to those who are on our side that will at some point during the battle, become discouraged and feel like giving up, God increase their strength.

Scripture:
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Isaiah 40:29
No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper; and every tongue that riseth against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their judgment is of me said the LORD.  Isaiah 54:17

When Tragedies Strikes

Ellen J. Barrier
Author/Spirituality Counselor

In times of tragedies, and loss of loved ones, we seek for answers and for strength to deal with the pain that causes discomfort. We know that within our souls, only our creator can comfort us, and give the needed strength within us, to enable us to rise up! And deal with the situation that we have encountered, victoriously. Many ask, Why?

Each individual have to find the courage and strength to continue to live their lives at their own pace. Not everyone deal with tragedies and losses the same as others. Some people need a longer time and a slower pace.

Scripture:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Ephesians 6:10, 12

God holds accountable those who inflict pain and cause the death of another individual without justifiable cause such as in the case of self-defense, or to save another individual’s life. He will not allow such individual to go unpunished by his own judgment and time.

He also, will judge those in leadership positions who are using politics and passing laws and are using their influences that are not helping to better the nations, but are rather destroying its people and separating them.

When a tragedy happen, each one of us should ask ourselves, what can I do to make this world safer?
As a parent, we should ask, am I being the parent that I need to be?

Am I living the example for my children that will help them to be respectful to others and to value the life of others?

We live in a society that is addicted to violence. It is up to us to teach our children, and other children not to commit wrongful acts. It is time for all parents to work together, with teachers, and with other leadership individuals, to help our young people avoid violence.

A young person should be able to have the knowledge to make a righteous decision, about what they view. A song, or a movie, or book that portrays a violent act, is no cause for anyone to commit those acts upon another individual. Acting is what it is! It is not real! The people are entertainers, who are paid to do their job. They don’t commit the acts of the individuals they are portraying.

Case in Point:
The Bible is filled with violent acts committed by young and old. Those things were recorded for our learning, for the purpose that we shouldn't commit them. And to know that those things displeases God, and to expect his punishment.

When God Chastises

Ellen J. Barrier/author/
Spirituality Counselor

“Men think God is destroying them because he is tuning them. The violinist screws up the key till the tense cord sounds the concert pitch; but it is not to break it, but to use it tunefully, that he stretches the string upon the musical rack”.
Henry Ward Beecher (Life Quote Lib)

Scriptures:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence:
Shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous; nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Hebrews 12:6-11 (K.J.V)

My Thoughts:

When we consider the things that happen upon earth that causes discomfort such as the world’s fragile economy, destruction caused by storms, intense heat, financial distress, incurable diseases, severe illnesses and other things that cause great losses, we know that this is the intervention of a hand that is supernatural.

Why?

When we consider those who are in leadership positions beginning in the homes, churches, schools, government, legal system, and in such places of authority who have failed to accept responsibility and do their jobs respectfully; and then we look at the number of young people whose lives have been affected due to poor guidance or lack of parental guidance, that have caused bullying, killings, stealing, sexual assaults, and crimes committed by very young children, we know that something is going to occur to correct this situation.

In a news report, the Headline read: 3-year-Old Boy Armed, the report further noted:
A 3-year-old boy was found wandering in the streets, with a loaded .38 caliber revolver.

Another report:

Child Criminals: Five-Year-Old Girl Murdered by Three Six-Year-Old Boys
Report after report, tells us of crimes committed by very young people. Can you imagine the wrongful and disgusting things that God and the angles see that are done by both the young and the old? Every individual in leadership positions are responsible for those who they are leading. Parents cannot blame anyone for their child’s bad behavior if they haven’t done proper parenting.

Faith in God = Confidence + Persistence, Produce Positive Results

Ellen J. Barrier/
Author/Spirituality Counselor

When David informed King Saul, that he would fight the giant,Goliath, who was an experienced man of war, and David was a child, who had no war experience of any kind- he and all the people, thought David was being overconfident, and couldn't possibly win.

Excerpts from the Book of Samuel:

And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him (Goliath); thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.
And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock. And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him and slew him.

Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear. And this uncircumcised Philistine, shall be as one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.

Faith and Confidence in Action:

David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.
(David killed Goliath with his own sword, after he had fallen from the force of the stone in the sling that David hit him with.)

Therefore, David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith, And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

Persistence

After David had knocked Goliath, down onto the ground, he didn’t waste any time boasting - but finished the goal that he had set his mind to accomplish. This is the same formula that we all have to use in order to accomplish the very tough obstacles in our lives; in the class room preparing for our future, careers, and jobs, or whatever our goals may be. We can’t listen to negative advice. We have to look to the one who has the power to help us accomplish our goals. And believe in ourselves, and never stop improving. We have to continue to fight the battles until they are defeated regardless, of what they may be. For some it is poor health, or financial difficulties. And for others, it is threatening situations in their lives, that involves other issues.

David thought about all of the times God was with him and spared his life. Each day we awaken, God has protected us. Each of us has things we can draw spiritual strength from. Many people are convinced as David was in his youthful years, that having God in their lives is awesome! I totally agree.

Religious Bullying

  Ellen J. Barrier/author/Spirituality Counselor

Religious Bullying

The religious bullies are those who are self-righteous. They  feel morally superior above others. These individuals don't feel guilty after having committed an evil act. They sit in the seat of judgment against others, according to their religious beliefs. They use certain biblical words to defend their position based on the way they believe things should be, that are contrary to common sense.

Religious bullies are dangerous to themselves, and to others, because they place themselves in a position that they feel is godlike, and therefore, they are disconnected to God.

When the religious bullies start touting bibles and placing themselves in leadership positions, they become a powerful and evil force against society that is very dangerous, because out of their organizations hatemongers are reproduced. They don’t like anyone who disagrees with their philosophy.

Hatemongers desires to destroy, and to harm those who they feel are immoral, and is unworthy to exist. They believe, they are doing the right thing religiously, by punishing those who they deem to be judged and condemned to death by their standards.

The danger to these particular individuals and to others

They are listening to a spirit they believe is God, who is speaking, and telling them, the right things to do. Whatever they hear, they believe -  and there is no one who can convince them, they are wrong in their belief.

What the Bible Says:

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.
Romans 10:2-4

Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:21-23

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:
Matthew 5:22 continued

God's Judgment for offensive name calling:

Whosoever shall say to his brother 'Raca' shall be in danger of the council:
But whoever shall say, 'Thou fool' shall be in danger of hell fire.
Matthew 5: 22

 Definitions:

Self-righteous: 1. filled with or showing a conviction of being morally superior, or more righteous than others; smugly virtuous.  right·eous (r ch s) adj. 2. Morally upright; without guilt or sin: a righteous parishioner. 3. In accordance with virtue or morality: a righteous judgment.

Hatemongers: 1. People who incites others to hatred or prejudice; 2. People who kindles hatred, enmity, or prejudice in others.

Raca -vain, empty, worthless;  It is derived from a root meaning "to spit."
The Word of God:

For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intense of the heart.
Hebrews 4:17

Why Was Jesus Sacrificed for The Sins of The World?

The People of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy:  yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

And I sought for a man among  them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: But I found none.
Ezekiel 22:29, 30 (K.J.V)

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of host will perform this.

The Power of God's Word

Ellen J. Barrier/
Author/Spirituality Counselor
When an individual worships God in the way that pleases him, there is a power within that individual that no one can resist.  The demons fear that individual, because God has given him/her the power to defeat their enemies.
'No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."
_Isaiah 54:17

When the army of God’s people come together, and pray, great and mighty works are done.  We live in a day and time where we are seeing lots of people struggling with heavy  burdens.  Many have been created by others, and placed upon the shoulders of the innocent to bear: loss of homes, financial distress, loss of income, sickness, disease and many other problems. Many of these victims have given up. Some of whom are angry at God and President Obama.

I know that the person who take hold of God’s Word and refuse to let go of it, will win.  The Word of God, is POWER!  And it never fails. Because, “ God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make  it good?" Numbers 23:19

Here is the evidence:
And they that know thy name will put their trust in  thee:  for thou, Lord, hast  not  forsaken  them that seek thee. Psalm 9:10

Defense: When God takes a case to defend his defendant, he will defeat the enemy.

The evidence:
He disappointeth the devices of the crafty  so that  their hands cannot perform their enterprise. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness;  and the counsel of the  forward is carried  headlong. They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night.

Note: There is no lawyer, no government agent, or judge, that he fears.  He fears no one. No one can fight against God, and win.

The Victory!
But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
So the poor hath hope: and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

The invitation to come:
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."___ Jesus
Matthew 11: 28, 29, 30

We must pray continually, and never give up, regardless of what the situation appears to be.  I pray for, guidance, instructions, and directions,  in all my thoughts, decisions and judgment.  I ask him to increase my wisdom , knowledge and faith.  I pray throughout the day  for help and everything I need for myself, my family, and for others.

*God’s angels are always here to defend and to secure his people.

Patience is The Pathway to Opportunity

Ellen J. Barrier/
Author/Spirituality Counselor
Patience is the path to opportunities. We gain patience through prayer and meditation. Within that vein, we never consider ourselves having failed. We see something greater ahead through the hope within us - that if we continue pushing forward and never looking back to consider, what if? why? and listening to negative advice, but trusting in God, who can make all things happen for our good, VICTORY! is ours.
Scripture:
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:36

Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragement, and impossibilities: It is this,  that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.
 ~ Thomas Carlyle

Because of the lack of patience, many people don't complete their goals. If success is not achieved within a short period of time they will give up, and start on another goal. To train for a career or a job, one has to have the patience to receive the skills that are required to do the requirements correctly. That could take several months or years to require the proper training needed to avoid mistakes that could be costly or cause injuries or death.

Patience is necessary in having a successful relationship. Meeting an individual today and trusting them to be the soul-mate, one desires, is not logical. Some people become impatient while waiting to meet someone who they can have a trustworthy relationship with, and therefore, they aren't willing to allow both - them and the person they have met, enough time to get to know each other. The quick relationships, can be dangerous.  It takes more than one day to get to really know if you can trust an individual to have any kind of relationship with, be it friendship, or romance. The mind of an individual is very difficult to understand, because people can be great pretenders. They can disguise themselves to be everything that you want them to be, and yet they are the opposite of everything you thought they were.

Success and Prosperity

Ellen J. Barrier

God’s Plan for Your Life
“ For I know the plans I have for you, “ declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
JEREMIAH 29:11 NIV

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 2 KJV

Question:
Why are there so many who are in poverty, and sick?

God has promised his people financial success and prosperity. Yet, there are many who are living below their privilege. No child of God is supposed to live in any way that is contrary to the promises of God. To do so, would make his promises of no effect. The Word of God states, God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19

According to Matthew 7:11, Jesus said, our Father, which is in Heaven, gives good things to them that ask him. Those good things are health, financial success, prosperity, and security among, other things one might desire for complete happiness.

When we look at the shortcomings of these promises, we have to take a look at the reason why, they aren't being fulfilled. That leads us to explore further: What does God require of us? Are we meeting all of his requirements?

When we closely examine our own lives, we find that we need God, to help us meet his requirements, to receive his promises. Parents have conditional promises for their children. Children aren't rewarded when they deliberately disobey their parents. There are rules we expect our children to follow, because we love them. We want to give good things to them. It is our desire for them, to be successful, and have a prosperous life. Those are our promises we make to our children. However, these promises have to come with a condition. God want that same thing for us: His desire for each of us, is to be in perfect health, and to be successful in everything we do, and to be whole in our mind, body, and soul. That means to be completely happy.

A Place Called Hell

Ellen J. Barrier/
Author/Spirituality Counselor

For those who ask "Is There such a place called Hell?" I have noted scriptures from the bible that I hope will answer this question,  along with another question that is asked, "Why would God send people to Hell?"

Based on the writers description of a place called, "Hell" that is talked about in biblical terms, I have noted those things in this book, from the information I have read. Hell is not a subject, that most people feel comfortable talking about. No one ever says it is a place they want to see. Because the thought of Hell, and the description of it is a very horrible place where - those who have been condemned and sentenced by God, will spend eternity.

Scriptures:
"Hell" also, called the "Pit"

I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Hell with them that descend into the pit:

They also went down into Hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.
 Ezekel 31:16:17 {K.J.V)

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these:

Adultery,  fornication,  uncleanness,  lasciviousness,  idolatry,  witchcraft,  hatred,  variance,  emulations, wrath,  strife,  seditions,  heresies,  envyings,  murders,  drunkenness,  revellings,  and such like.

They which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
 Galatians 5: 19-22 (K.J.V)

O GIVE thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth  for  ever.
To him alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Who remembered us in our low estate:
Who giveth food to all flesh:
For his mercy endureth for ever
                                                        Psalm 136:1, 4, 23-25 (K.J.V)

God loved us when we didn’t deserve his love.  He had mercy on us. Though we were undeserving of his love, we needed it. There are parents who hold grudges against their own children, for something they did or said, that they didn't agree with. Such parents will punish their children by not visiting them or speaking to them. Holding grudges, divides families. Love, bonds the family. Hate, divides families. Holding a grudge against a family member, prevents loving them, when they need it the most. Life with Father in chapter 9  is about a family divided by alcohol and violence.  It shows us  how the love of a mother held this family together by her faith in God.

What to Do When Exercise is not Enough

Ellen J. Barrier/
Author/Spirituality Counselor/Medical Professional

The Apostle Paul clearly believed,  there are benefits for the body through exercising, but more is needed to fully benefit the whole person.  Paul stated “For bodily exercise profiteth  little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”
1Timothy 4:8

Paul being a well educated man, who spoke several languages, knew that something far greater was needed. In order for a person to be complete and to have a healthy body, a healthy diet, and a healthy mind is needed, along with a good exercising program.  When a person only exercise, eat unhealthy foods, and have no spiritual consciousness they will tire quicker, and their stress level will be higher. These factors will deeply affect this individual's behavior. Due to negative factors that produce stress and can  plague the whole body, so much more is needed, in order to live peaceful and have a healthy mind, body, and soul.

One can't live peaceful within any environment, unless he or she is at peace within themselves. All these things have an affect on how such an individual treat others. Will they be able to have a successful relationship? Will they be a good parent? Can such an individual control their temper?

How Can We Help Ourselves?
It takes more than exercise, a beautiful body and knowledge, to make us whole and acceptable to God. How can we obtain wholeness? The first step is to understand our need for help on a spiritual level, of which only our creator can help us with. And that is to realize that without him, there can never be any good in us. We are all capable of committing sinful acts, because we can't obtain perfection. It is a goal, we set within our mind to achieve, always pushing ahead, though we may fall occasionally, we get up! and keep going because perfection is our goal and God is our judge.

Scripture:
Yea, If thy criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searcheth for her as for hid treasures;
Then shall thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
For the  LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2: 3-6 (K.J.V)

The Danger in Holding a Grudge

Ellen J. Barrier/
Author/Spirituality Counselor

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
FinestQuotes.com

Grudge  ___ a feeling of deep-seated resentment or ill will; syn. see malice
Malice ___  desire to see another suffer:  to cause pain, injury, or distress to another. 2: intent to commit an unlawful act or cause harm without legal justification or excuse.
(Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary)

Scriptures:
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another,  tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s  sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians  4:31, 32 (K.J.V)

Having viewed all these things regarding the term used for the definition of malice, and the instructions given by the forefathers of the Word of God, who taught the people, who came before us, have left the same instructions for us to pass on to our generation and those to come –  I have concluded these feelings of my thoughts on malice:

Holding a grudge, is malice, it weakens an individual, and disallows room to forgive.  It preys on the mind of such and individual and grows as a terminal disease, until it consumes that individual’s entire body, mind and soul.  The individual is unable to think soberly because they are consumed with bitterness, anger, wrath, and evil thoughts of plans to destroy someone else.

Such people will hold a grudge against their very own flesh and blood.  There are reports of some family members who harmed others due to a grudge they had against them. I know of one particular case of some family friends. This couple ‘married out of their own race’ and the mother of the bride, didn’t approve of their marriage.  And to pay her daughter back, she never visited this couple, and didn’t accept their children as her grandchildren.  This is a grudge that hurt and destroys family relationship.

The spirit of malice is demonic, it brings in other spirits and dwell within an individual - taking over in the form of multiple personalities. They weigh down such individual, and can cause depression and stress, leaving the human tired and worn-out with  serious mental and health problems.

The Strong Shall Survive

Ellen J. Barrier/Author/Spirituality Counselor

"The qualities of a great man are vision, integrity, courage, understanding, the power of articulation, and profundity of character."
~ Dwight David Eisenhower
     Finestquotes.com

Scripture:
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Romans 7: 18

The things we find in greatness are vision, integrity, courage and understanding. Those who possess these fine qualities, also, have power of articulation, and profundity of character. However, there is a spiritual foundation that is needed for such characteristic values to exist, that is strength. Without it, greatness can’t exist.

We all want to obtain greatness and to perform that which is good, as both writers stated in the quote and, in the scripture. But, how can we possess all these qualifications: goodness, vision, integrity, courage, understanding and profundity of character?

Scripture:
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God;
but with the flesh the law of sin.
 Romans 7:22-25

Conclusion:
In order for us to possess goodness, greatness of character, and have vision, integrity, courage, understanding, the power of articulation, and profundity of character, we must find the spiritual strength through Jesus Christ.
